Company History
After many years working as a Joint Venture Partner in a large multiple company, Steven Thomas, became disillusioned with the constant selling targets that was forced onto him from head office. He was often pressured into trying to sell to people that he did not believe warranted new spectacles. Instead of giving into this pressure he believed in his own integrity and he decided to part with this well known company. He started his own practice in September 2015 and has never looked back.
It's not all about selling you spectacles at S Thomas Opticians but if you do need them then you can be assured that we have a large range of spectalcles, from stylish budget frames to designer brands such as Rayban and Jaeger.
Stephen Thomas is also very experienced in fitting all types of Contact Lenses such soft daily lenses and silicone hydrogel lenses which allow more oxygen to reach the eye. As the ranges of contact lenses expands many people who have been told they are not suitable in the past, can now be fitted with lenses. Please feel free to ask if you are suitable when you next see us.
Meet The Team
As a small independent practice there are only two people at S Thomas Opticians, Steven Thomas and his experienced Optical Assistant Yvonne. This allows us to generate a much more friendly atmosphere, unlike large companies where you are greeted by a new face every time you go.
Stephen Thomas

He has undergone further training in independent prescribing, glaucoma and medical retina.
